Five checks before shaken
Finding a fault the week of shaken can push the date. These five items are worth a look 1-2 months ahead.
1. Tread and tire age
Depth matters, and so do cracks and rubber that is simply old. Check the spare as well.
2. Brake pad thickness
A car can pass with thin pads and still need a swap soon after. Knowing thickness early makes the cost clearer.
3. Lights
Headlamps, brake lights, and indicators fail the test if they are out. Walk around and switch them on once.
4. Wipers and washer
Worn rubber and an empty washer bottle are easy to miss and still on the list. We check them in the pre-inspection.
5. Papers
Expired shaken documents or compulsory insurance cause a scramble on the day. Check the dates early.
The pre-inspection menu covers these together. If a date is already booked, tell us and we will plan around it.
